The Transport Research Arena (TRA) conference is taking place in Budapest from 18 to 21 May, and we’re looking forward to it! The TRA conference is the largest transport research and innovation conference in Europe, welcoming industry experts from across the continent.

We’re very pleased to have been chosen as part of the Innovate UK cohort: twenty companies with a strong track record of innovation in transport, attending as part of a UK government initiative.

In June, the European Space Agency (ESA) published the report ‘Space for Automotive: Use Cases and Market Opportunities’. This report looks at how modern technology is transforming the automotive industry, and at the role the space industry can play. In particular, the report talks about the importance of reliable connectivity for modern vehicles, especially self-driving vehicles.

PIX Moving is a developer and manufacturer of self-driving vehicles, established in China in 2014. By creating modular, customisable autonomous vehicles, PIX Moving aims to fulfil the needs of passengers beyond transportation, enabling moving cafés, cinemas or libraries.

On 8 December 2023, PIX Moving visited Darwin Innovation Group at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is an important partner in Darwin’s transportation and communications work. On 27 November 2023, ESA held a Transportation Commercialisation Day at the European Space Research and Technology Centre, located in the scenic seaside town of Noordwijk in the Netherlands.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is currently holding a series of Commercialisation Days. These events unite the space industry with organisations across other important sectors, such as health or transportation, in order to promote collaboration and innovation. Darwin is looking forward to presenting its solutions at ESA’s Transportation Commercialisation Day in November.
