At Darwin, we have a team of developers creating software for use with connected and autonomous vehicles. Some of our creations are also of interest to companies that use traditional vehicles. For example, we’ve been working on efficiency-boosting fleet management software, which could save fuel and reduce emissions for companies that make frequent deliveries.
In order to create our software, we’ve been working with Amazon Web Services, or AWS. The coding we do and the software we make is stored on the AWS Cloud. In this post, we’re going to talk about what it’s like to work closely with AWS and its team, drawing on the experiences of Darwin’s CEO Milos Petrovic.

In December, the Darwin team completed the Darwin Advent Wellbeing Challenge: we managed to walk a total of one million steps over the Advent period. We planned to celebrate our success by planting a tree at Harwell campus for each day of the challenge.
The planting itself was slightly delayed by frost. On Tuesday 27 April, though, we were able to plant our wellbeing challenge trees!

In these times, it’s important to remember the good things that we have in our lives. Most of us can still enjoy the simple pleasure of taking a walk. It feels great to get some fresh air and exercise, to explore our surroundings and see what new things we can discover.
In December, Darwin offered its team a playful challenge: could we walk a total of one million steps over the Advent period?
